Towards the end of the 1990-91 season, we won 8 of our last 9 matches. I am not sure how far away we were at the first of those 9 games, but we still needed to get something from our last game to be sure of promotion. In the event we clattered Scunthorpe 5-0. A repeat of that form will do fine, I don't even mind if the defeat comes at Wrexham. However, back in the "real world", I think our next two games could be quite tough. If we get through them unscathed I'll be delighted. Whenever we get two or three wins on the bounce, there's a lot of giddiness on these boards, fans saying they can't see us losing again, stuff like that. I think a lot depends on JK's commentary. He must avoid mentioning how long it is since we have conceded a goal, as every time he does that we let one in. Same with unbeaten runs, etc - leave all that until after the final whistle! |
