Penalty spot would be perfect for players running in from outside the penalty areas. The tactic of pushing, shoving and holding inside the six yard box and jumping from a standing start has proven to be poor all season. It simply allows the goalkeeper to pluck the ball out of the air or at worse punch it clear.
