| Not the wettest, but one of the few occasions I’ve thought about going home at half time at an away game was at Wigan on the opening day 1992/93 season. Lovely sunny August day in Stockport. Tee-shirt weather. Get to Wigan and the weather has become cold, wet and windy and I didn’t have the correct clobber for the climate. At least we won 2-1 with Chris Beaumont scoring two absolute belters. |
