I think the point some are making is that refunding tickets is usually an acknowledgement of an embarrassing result, like Spurs did after getting pumped by Newcastle last season(?)
The fact that the game was so close, and Imposter's comment that Barrow aren't that far removed from Maidstone's level, gives off the impression that Barrow see a very close game against a former league peer as some sort of embarrassing result, as if they're above results like that and they should be winning by just turning up.
Not saying I agree, but I believe that's the angle.
