The National League North days are littered with dross. Looking back at the records, we had plebs like Jordan Fagbola, Bohan Dixon, Nathan Woolfe and Chris Sharp, plus youngsters like Charlie Russell and Bobby Lofthouse who should never have been anywhere near the first team.
For all his work with the youth team, Alan Lord was never first team manager standard and I can hardly remember any games that he managed. Completely uninspiring.
At least with Bogie and Young I remember those games (mainly for the wrong reasons).
Gannon took a while to get going too as we were getting turned over by dross like North Ferriby and Lowestoft, whilst suffering tantrum man Richard Brodie up front.
