Remember when JG came back 2nd and 3rd times, the argument was he had only Managed in FL and would NEVER be successful at lower levels and without big financial backing. Well done Jim for not listening, because he not only took us up - but had us challenging at the top of the NL before being defenestrated. One level above where we are now and ready for the next. Also of interest, when he became our first (and only) manager to win a game at Wembley and got us promoted to League 1, loads we’re saying we’d see ruffle to stay up. On the contrary, when the wheels came off we were top 6.
