He's got those 7 assists and 3 goals playing at LWB. He's never played in a LW position as part of a front 3, so it's not bollocks, it's factual information. The whole point of playing LWB is that you're combining attacking duties with defensive duties are you're coming at the attacks from a deeper position than you would if you were in a front 3.
You say we're short of attacking options too, but if Paddy's fit then we've got 3 out of our 4 main attackers fit. Hippolyte can play in a front 3 too, as well as Evans if we're desperate. That's 5 players who you'll see as part of a front 3 before you see Rydel in that role.
You say it's 'over-complicating' it, but it's about knowing where players play on the pitch and are likely to play. It's a fairly basic thing to understand but it's unsurprising given the previous discussion we've had about player positions that you can't see that.
