    Of those Hinchliffe, Hussey and Byrne have all proved they are worth a contract extension but are all getting on in age. Johnson played for Chally at Hartlepool and is young enough for an extension.

    Personally I’d let them all go and replace with better and only retaining Hinchliffe, bringing in a quality keeper to challenge him for the GKs shirt.

    It will be an interesting close season to see the squad change for next season. Of yesterday’s starters, only Hinchliffe and Croasdale played in last season’s team from the start, with Madden and Johnson on the bench. I don’t see major changes but feel we could do with five or six to improve the squad.
