Your Help Needed For Final Push! In a little over 12 months County supporters have raised over £40 k in support of https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dannybergara which with sculptor Hannah Stewart doing a terrific job leaves us on course to the unveiling ceremony at County`s last game of the season on May 6. Before that however we have much work to do and costs to meet. We have decided upon a 1200mm dia x 300mm high single stone plinth. . The stone would need to be delivered on a HIAB truck, and a stone mason employed to position the plinth into place and also work on the up lighting. The total cost of the above will be in the region of £6,000. With this in mind we are poised to commit to a final round of fund raising, and your support will be absolutely vital! In this respect as part of this we are seeking match worn County shirts to auction via our popular `Make Us An Offer` series. If you are able to donate one please drop it off at the Grassy Knoll between 1.15 and 2.15 ( Saturday home games)/ 6.15 to 7.15 ( Tuesdays), or contact us at hedgegrower@gmail.com to arrange pick up/delivery– thank you. There will be other promotions/ events supporting the statue appeal, but your support for this effort would be a massive help in getting us to our target and seeing that bronze statue of a great County man in place outside Edgeley Park. |
