To be fair to DC , Horsfall and Camps , two of our best players were not available , others in todays team may have still had a bit of a flu bug lingering , maybe that’s why Paddy Madden was a sub . The new lad Issac is really only a player to come off the bench now and again , he has got pace but looked a bit lost out there . The first half was dire , Walsall should have scored in the first minute and then on twenty five , Hinchliffe pulled off a great save . I can’t remember the Walsall keeper having to make a single save … ? Too many of the team were off their game , Hippo , Rydel , Collar , Sarasvic we’re just way below their normal standard , there was no intensity , no pace . The second half as a game was slightly better , Hinchcliffe making a number of good stops , perhaps at fault with the first goal , not sure on that . Great goal from Paddy and I would have settled for a draw but it was just panic stations as Walsall bombarded the County box and it was enevitable the winning goal would come , albeit by a penalty . Horsfall would have steadied the ship I thought Lewis played well as did Hussey , Wooton to a lesser extent , great goal from Paddy , the rest of the team all got two and threes out of ten ! We have some tough League games coming up and this will decide whether we can get into the play offs ( I predicted we would finish 7th at the start of the season ! ) , or we will be a mid table team and on todays showing we were not even that . Well done Walsall , a deserved win . Good luck to them .
