The Danny Bergara Statue Appeal received a most welcome boost this week when Stockport County owner Mark Stott weighed in with a very substantial donation! That is simply excellent news and supplements the massive support the campaign has been receiving from County supporters magnificently! This pushes us closer to our £50k target but we are by no means there yet and with bills for essential costs( stone for plinth, statue siting costs for drilling, fitting & installing etc )pending, continued support for the appeal from supporters is crucial to seeing us there! Our aim is to have the statue erected at Edgeley Park by the end of this current season and we will be having discussions on the subject this week with the Club, and will be reporting thereafter. Meanwhile please keep the appeal momentum going.
