Newsletter- 29 June 2022 Fans Forum. With another potentially epic season pending, we are pleased to join with the Club to promote the latest Fans Forum which is set to happen on Tuesday 19 July in the 1883 Suite at Edgeley Park. Doors will be open circa 6.30 with the event scheduled to start at 7pm. The seventh Hatters Half Marathon on 4 September 2022 will see hundreds of athletes of varying abilities from all over the UK running this testing road/ trail race. Edgeley Park is the base for the race which starts at 9.30am. Our race organisation is highly regarded, but we need a few more volunteers to help us marshal the race and make it another terrific advertisement for Stockport County Supporters Cooperative, the Club and Stockport. To join our race team please contact johngiles20@hotmail.com Stewarding. Discussions took place recently between Supporters Cooperative and the Club on the subject of stewarding. This popular annual feature of our output is being used to raise funds for the Danny Bergara Statue again. As usual it will adhere to the football season dates with a quality image each month taken of County supporters at various home & away games during the last season. Are you in it? Get your copy and find out- we have held the price again to £10. First chance to pick one up is likely to be the Fans Forum on 19 July but watch out for confirmation. Danny Bergara Statue. With the fund pushing on close towards £40k, with Mark Stott`s generous pledge taken into account, and Hannah Stewart now confirmed as our sculptor, we can look forward to the future confident of getting Danny`s statue sited at Edgeley Park. We still have circa £10k to go though and whilst we have this year`s Hatters Half Marathon, the Football Season Calendar ( both good money spinners) and a number of other initiatives planned we need County supporters to donate if they haven`t already done so and get us to our target of £50k as soon as possible.
