In the end I thought County deserved to just edge it 1 - 0 , we started well , Rydel getting some good crosses in early on . we seemed to be able to open up their defence on a number of occasions but just couldn’t ‘t create a real clear cut chance .

Solihull created two decent first half chances and for seventy minutes looked to be one of the better sides to visit Edgeley this season , until all the clogging started late on and we’re lucky to keep eleven men on the pitch .

The penalty miss by Paddy was a bit of a shock , but he admitted it wasn’t t his best ever strike from the spot after the game , but at least he had the bottle to take it in this very tense and nervy encounter ! Quiggers had a good chance and couldn’t t have hit the ball any better but it was a fine save by the Solihull keeper , who had a great match .

We missed Sarsevic who usually picks up the ball from the back four and then charges forward . Without him, there were far too many passes going across and backwards instead of setting up attacking moves . Cannon had a good game , thought Croasdale put a good shift in .

The two substitutes of Hippolyte and Crankshaw gave us a better shape and more of a threat in their box and Maddens goal was just reward for our spirit , although it was a slight mishit from Paddy , but who cares , it went in !! Everyone went mad crazy !

Leaving the ground everyone was buzzing , the teams confidence will be sky high , we have two winnable games against Yeovil and Borehamwood to come . But again it’s great to know what a huge high the Wrexham fans must have been on as they left the Racecourse ground today to then be sickened by our last gasp goal . Whatever Wrexham can do , we can do , and I hope they enjoyed it !
