They sadly divorced after only four weeks due to “an incident involving a sleeping Arthur and a frying pan” The local paper’s front page declared “County reserve keeper was clanged about the head by Portwood and District Rear of the Year as he slumbered”
Poor Arthur never played again with club sources describing him as “…crap anyway”.
