    There are certainly a lot of new faces around EP at the moment. My first reaction was “Where were you when we were s**t”?, but after thinking about it and seeing lots of kids around. I later took a more mature view. Let’s hope some of them stick around for more.
    I heard a bit of booing at half time. Most people around me thought what has already been discussed on here - that we should have been 2 or 3 up after 15mins, but they were not a bad side, with bags of pace (seeing Macca done twice by that nippy wing back on their left made everyone nervous).
    They scored with their first meaningful attack and looked deadly from corners especially and this carried on well into the 2nd half.
    When we were 2-0 down I could hear to the back of me the familiar moaning and effing and blinding about the referee. The ref wasn’t great, but he wasn’t terrible either. Strange how the ref is always to blame when we are losing. Reminiscent of the season we were relegated out of the FL when we had a terrible ref every home game that we drew or lost.
    I heard people booing the opposition goalie when he arrived G the Cheadle End and when the ref failed to give a goal kick after coming off their forwards heel and Ash Palmer let the ball trickle out. I heard people booing the officials before we went 3-2 up, then the booing stopped. Some booed
    I think DC was a bit OTT in his interview. Mentioning it at the start took the gloss off the victory. Maybe he heard stuff that I don’t know about.
    Everybody has a moan about the way we play from time to time. Yesterday, I was getting fed up in the 1st half watching long balls from the back out to Ollie Crankshaw getting caught by the wind and rolling into touch. After it had happened half a dozen times, I shouted “How many times do you have to do something before it sinks in that it isn’t working?”. (That’s the polite version by the way). But at half time I was thinking about a long journey home after a possible defeat.
    I really don’t know why people were booing at half time. I suspect that some of those who booed might not know either. Drink, frustration at the result, nerves, nothing better to do, don’t like the ref, who knows?
