    Future of Edgeley Park.

    The Stockport County Supporters Cooperative welcomes the statement made by the Club on the agreement reached with Stockport Council on the future of Edgeley Park.
    In our meeting with the Club on 31 January we were advised that negotiations were ongoing with the Council on this matter, and we are pleased to see such a favourable solution emerge from same.
    Council ownership of the football ground is perhaps no one`s first choice solution but , without seeing the fine detail on this, the indications are that the proposed lengthy lease will contain safeguards as to future usage that are most welcome.
    Ahead of any ratification by the full Council we would like to congratulate the Club and Stockport Council for a result that hopefully will serve County supporters and the wider Stockport community well in years to come.
    Stockport County Supporters Cooperative will continue to represent County Supporters to the Club, as we play our part in what hopefully will be a bright future.
