New Supporters Cooperative Board Meets Monday evening saw the first meeting( via Zoom) of the new board. The first item on the agenda was to welcome new board members Matty White and Simon Dawson onto the board, and then to sort who does what in the coming year. The officers for the year were agreed as follows:- Chair: Pete Towey Vice Chair: John Giles Treasurer : Andy Burt Membership Officer: Damian Beaumont Media & Comms: Ian Brown Fund Raising Officer: Katye Ebbage Co-options: Paul Thompson was welcomed back onto the board as Co-opted member. Caroline Burt continues as the Cooperative`s Independent Secretary. .. Top of the list of matters the new board will be pursuing is a meeting with the Club, and preliminary contacts have been made in this regard- further details will follow as soon as available. We will also be looking to continue our successful Community Ticketing Initiative which will run alongside the Clubs own scheme. We will be offering 1800 tickets to local junior sports clubs to further boost our growing fan base. Again .more details soon! Regarding the Danny Bergara Statue Appeal it was noted with pleasure that the fund had reached £13671 in a relatively short space of time, and it was agreed that circa £2500 from the surplus generated by the Hatters Half Marathon be moved over taking the fund beyond £16k. ..
