You could see how much this game meant to everyone, but particularly the youngsters. They haven't witnessed the sold out stadiums, the white hot atmosphere these games generate and when they have happened (Rochdale and West Ham), fans haven't been allowed in. They haven't seen the fantastic glory days of the 90's with famous victories over QPR, Sheffield United, Blackburn Rovers, West Ham, Southampton, etc or the near misses against Middlesboro and Everton. All they've seen is 10 years of non league and whilst we witnessed a fabulous promotion, it isn't the same! There was a young lad stood next to me, probably 14 or 15. Singing all game, giving Bolton plenty of stick Could see just how much it meant, it was really special and will live long in the memory!
