New County Manager Gets Off To a Great Start! It has been a hectic time recently in SK3 for County supporters as they came to terms with the recent change of manager at the Club. In this respect it was excellent to see Dave Conlon installed as Interim Manager whilst a decision on a permanent replacement to Simon Rusk was made. This resulted in an immediate boost in supporter morale that showed in their response away at Dover where 5 goals saw County claim all the points. Solid foundations were clearly laid for the new man and it was to absolutely no one`s surprise that this turned out to be former County captain Dave Challinor, and the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative is pleased to welcome Dave back to the Club, and wish him success as he seeks to work to get us back in the Football League after too many seasons away! Following the appointment, the Club and the Supporters Cooperative were quick to join forces and organise a `Meet & Greet` session in the 1883 Suite, and it turned out to be a real belter with a full house liking what they heard from the ex-Hartlepool boss.  Dave clearly knows what he wants and there was a real buzz in the room at some of his answers. Asked about how the team will play, Dave gave us “ Attacking, expansive , that`s what the supporters deserve” prompting loud applause.  County`s new boss indicated he favoured 4/3/3 , but had recently tried 3 at the back with wing backs , and he would be flexible accessing the needs formation-wise , and tweaking where necessary as we go. We look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday at Bolton, and thereafter at Edgeley Park and venues up and down the UK as County battle to return to the Football League. AGM It is our AGM on Monday 8 November and this year it is at the Spinning Top starting at 19.30. The event will also go out live via Zoom to members who are unable to attend in person- enabling link to be sent prior to the meeting. In addition we intend to publish live updates via our Twitter feed ( link above). Mugs. We are pleased to say that our commemorative mugs containing the excellent art work of Steve Ridgway, have sold well and we have ordered a further quantity which we think will make excellent Xmas gifts at £10.
