… or just holding the fort?
Dave Conlon has either an opportunity to make a name for himself or just guide the team to simply not losing the game .
He’s not had time to make and practice tactical changes.. he has his 2 assistants drafted in temporarily and can take advice from the senior players in the squad .
Be interesting to see his tactics today …hope he does well needless to say .
I’d love to have been a the fly on the wall to hear what the players thought about Rusk and co going, some of them played under him as though they didn’t have the heart of it at any time this season .
Having said that my top players I could rely on to give 100% every game is limited to Ash Palmer, Jordan Keane, Ben Whitfield and Sam Minihan who I hope Conlon will play today if Sam’s fit to do so .
The high number of squad players and touchline advisors we keep on the books can become a hindrance not an advantage when some players hardly get a look in and advice from such as Joppe Meulensteen , Head of First Team Analysis, is ignored or even not taken by the Manager.
The new manager will surely go for a “ clean sheet “ relative to the staff he’ll get rid of and those he’ll bring in of his own, and will definitely “ change the narrative “ the moment he steps through the door …
