I don't think there is any harm in targeting this group. If it takes Vernon the Bear, Edgeleap the County frog, face painting and the set up in the Vernon stand to catch their attention, then I don't think it really matters. Under 12's are less likely to have formed allegiances to a team, so in that regard they are a good audience.
