Actually, the more I think about it the more puzzling I find the signing. The formation we have played before Saturday simply doesn’t accommodate out and out wingers. The formation we played on Saturday does and appears to have suited Whitfield well. It’s as if someone has suddenly decided that we are changing the way we play on the back of one game and to support that we need someone else who can fit into that system. What happens if we decide to change system again? Will we need more players? How many are now not suited to our new style?
