I am not sure it has worked that well so far however - probably because we have switched managers and clearly several signings made in Jim Gannon's time are not fitting in with current thinking and styles of play. Its good that Mark Stott is investing so much in the Club - and all credit to him for that - but the length of contracts we seem to be offering do seem a little over generous. We have now become landed with players who are not in favour taking up precious and expensive places in the squad. Shorter contracts with a payment by results (appearances, performance, goals ,league position etc) emphasis seems to be needed in my opinion.
