In 'another place' somebody suggested that fining Dover was correct and well done to the rest for preserving the integrity of the League.
Well, for me, I think not. The NL, (as a 3 division entity) had no integrity as a competition this year. The ridiculous decision to deem NL / NLN / NLS as elite leagues 12 months ago has benefitted 4 clubs - Barrow, Harrogate, Sutton and Torquay / Hartlepool.
Meanwhile in NL we have seen a competition (sic) where half the teams, without fear of relegation, have done nothing more than fulfil fixtures, after furloughing contracted players and turning out anybody they could find to make the numbers up.
Meanwhile the 44 clubs in NLN and NLS have been treated shamefully. Promised funds not forthcoming and clubs like Curzon, without a pot to piss in, find themselves fined for not fulfilling a couple of fixtures when it was already known those divisions were going to be deemed null and void.
