It may well be that Sky and BT are only prepared to put a fraction in compared to what they do now however it could result in the distribution being far more equitable.
Based on back of a packet of fags calculations they currently pay about £4.5bn to the Premier League and about £200m of that goes to the EFL clubs (about £6m to each club in the Championship plus c£2m to League 1 and c£1m to League 2 clubs). About 5%.
Doubtlessly the remaining Premier League Clubs will want the lions share of what Sky and BT agree but it would give Football the opportunity to press the reset button and give all clubs a fair crack of the whip.
It will be interesting how Sky and BT play this. Will they want to be seen as big 6 centric or more aligned to the game as a whole. They could #### off 86 league clubs very quickly.
