    It's not unusual for a club with two names to have their last name used in a shortend and colloquial way that has a ring to it. For example fans and the media often refer to Stamford Bridge as the 'Bridge' and the old White Hart Lane as the 'lane'. The Chelsea and Spurs fans where I live do.

    Of course such is not suited for grounds whose last name doesn't have a ring to it.

    Too me it's a personal choice as to whether you want to use a 'quick off the tongue' or keyboard term such as EP or the 'Park'when speaking or typing about County.

    In the past I've known people depending how bad or good home performances are use derogatory or praisworthy terms: such as we are off to the Torture Chamber! or we are off to Wonderland! - but everyone knew they were off to Edgeley Park.

    Finally I would be unhappy if the club forfeited the name Edgeley Park to a sponsers or a future owner's choice of name - that would be sacrilege.
