On Loan Strikers Archived Message Posted by Yeti on 9/3/2021, 2:08 pm I've been racking my brain (increasingly difficult these days) trying to think of strikers who we've loaned in who've been a resounding success and scored plenty of goals. I remember a guy called Paul Smith who we loaned in the mid-80's who scored about 6 goals in as many games and who was promptly recalled by Sheffield United to address their own striking deficiencies. If I remember correctly they themselves were in the 3rd or 4th tier at the time. Are there any other success stories? I know we've had some excellent players in other positions but don't recall any other strikers.
