It really resonated with me for so many reasons and bought back so many memories of going to the game with my old man. Going to football is so much more than your team winning as Ollie so elegantly describes. It’s the little things like parking in the same spot, the walk to the pub, the glass collector in the boozer, the anticipation in the pub before the game. The subtle nods you give to fellow County fans who you have seen for the last decade or more but don’t actually know their names. A sense of belonging and the escapism from life if your going through a difficult time. I can’t wait to be back in Edgeley and walking to the ground.
