Help the Hatters are distressed and appalled by the news announced last night by the Club regarding Jim Gannon. Jim has been a valued member of the County Family for many years ,serving with distinction as both player and Manager of the Club. The shamefully inadequate statement issued by the Club, only served to compound the awfulness of the decision to sack Jim -an outstanding Manager performing well! Indeed, we were Champions under Jim in our last completed season, fourth in the league after Tuesday`s excellent win away at Daggers, despite the interrupted nature of the current season, and clearly playing well. If, as the Club`s statement states, the decision was based on `culture` and not results based, it simply beggars belief as Jim is a proven quality Manager, who knows what it takes to make County tick, has done so many times in the past, , was doing it now, and is pretty much County `culture` through and through. Jim has not only been a magnificent servant of the Club , over the years, but he has also always been a reliable and staunch supporter and friend of Help the Hatters. We value that friendship highly, and we will cherish it no matter what turns up around the next corner! It is clear however that we as an organisation will have to consider our position in respect of the Club, and a further statement will be issued as soon as practicable .
