Some memories of Gigg Lane Archived Message Posted by charter on 21/12/2020, 8:37 pm 24 years ago today we drew 0-0 at Gigg Lane, a not particularly memorable affair. But there have been both bizarre and frenetic meetings. Bizarre back in 1981, when we started with 9 and played with 9 men until just before half time ... and won as well!! Frenetic in 2006 as we fought to avoid the drop. A game played in heavy rain, settled by a classic Dicko strike towards the end of the game.
