A football special had been arranged and on disembarking the train at Crewe it felt like I was literally being carried up the stairs and out of the station my feet didn’t touch the ground. I’m sure there must have been 500 County fans on that train. One other note was the hot chocolate on offer at HT. All this at the tender age of 17.
