It wouldn't be entirely accurate to say that the ground has changed out of all recognition, but changed it has over all those years. So it's appropriate (for me at least!), to have a look at how things have developed. A piece I wrote for my site a couple of months ago is linked below. Re-reading it yesterday I had observed that the place was in need of some TLC. Well given what we have seen from the match streams in the last week, and news that the Cheadle End concourse has had improvements the new regime has started the TLC. Some 35 of so of the grounds I visited previously have now gone, and in the main been replaced by what are pretty soulless breeze block constructions without a great deal of character. My hope is that EP remains our home - improved but retaining everything that we love about the place!!
