.....could be in for a pleasant surprise if the former Sports Minister Tracy Crouch has her way .
30 MP’s have signed a letter from her urging the Government to allow non league clubs to open the doors wider to their supporters on the 5th September season start .
Her plea argues many clubs will “ go under “ financially if gate receipts dry up due to strict COVID-19 restrictions.
Even though crowds are very low compared to League Clubs I’m not convinced her letter will be successful unless she’s just asking for a higher percentage than the 30% allowance (recently mooted) substantially.
I heard this on the lunch time BBC news today so I’ve got no further information on this but worth mentioning it nonetheless
Ps She’s a Premier League club ST holder ( not disclosed what club ) but she also supports her non league club Chatham Town .
