I can only go off what I'm seeing locally but the Spanish have descended on our urbanisation like never before. It's packed. And the only Brits to have come here since the borders re-opened are a couple who plan to apply for residency to stay here. Normally it can be a "little Belfast" but none of the Irish owners have turned up yet. In fact, we've not heard a single English speaking child here this year yet. In the evenings there can be as many as 40 Spanish kids in the pool at any one time. No masks or social distancing in sight around the pool with the elders neither. 10 months of the year, it's idyllic. July and August though are a different story normally but this year, it's crazy. And now Almerķa has reported more new cases in the past week than it had during the entire shutdown.
We're only going out when its absolutely necessary again.
