Simon and Jim will of course be working together but as has happened at other clubs the director of football and the board all be it with the managers input make the decisions , its not as it maybe was pre-takeover a given that Jim is involved with business/executive matters .
Jims instruction will be no doubt to focus his activities on training and on players onfield strategies and freeing up his time to do this will hopefully be a major positive.
It will by consequence put more pressure on him for results than he has previously had but he has had that before so should be used to it.
