I can't see any harm in a quick message stating that the views expressed in a film were of the time period and are not considered acceptable today. For the vast majority of people that should be pretty self-explanatory, but there's no harm in reinforcing the message. It also serves as a warning for anyone who might be distressed by the content so that they can choose whether they watch it or not.
