The direction of travel is what counts rather than deaths when deciding what action to take Duffers. When we went into lockdown, infection rate was on the rise and it increases at an exponential rate so gets very big, very quickly.
The death rate is a lagged indicator also and affected by who is getting infected.
However, whether we are ready to reopen or not remains to be seen. Not sure many were willing to follow lockdown restrictions for much longer irrespective of what the government was saying.
