Yes , Stockport County Supporters Cooperative is pleased and proud to welcome two new members from Japan- Akito Aoki and Taroh Toyoura.

Akito hails from Shinagawa, and is well known and loved by County supporters after his recent visit firmly cemented ties between Akito and Stockport County fans that had been initiated earlier via on line contacts following Akito`s formation of a Japanese County supporters group.
Akito is the latest County fan to join our 16-25 age group , and you can do it too here:-

Taroh is from Sakai, and is less well known to us, but a very welcome addition to our membership ,and we extend the warmest of greetings to Akito and to Taroh in the hope that both are enjoying good health in these difficult times!

Shinagawa , home to the Tennozu Isle, a high-rise complex with a boardwalk, pub, shops, and restaurants. Elegant Sengaku-ji Temple the burial site for 47 renowned samurai. Colourful bridges span the tree-lined Meguro River, while Shinagawa Park has picnic spots and an aquarium. High-tech sports facilities built for the 2020 Olympics include climbing walls, cycle tracks, and beach volleyball courts.

Sakai is a port city in Japan, just south of Osaka, on Osaka Bay, known for the Mozu Kofun, a group of large ancient burial mounds. In the city centre, surrounded by 3 moats, the massive, keyhole-shaped Daisen Kofun is the 5th-century tomb of the Emperor Nintoku. East, the Mihara History Museum displays artifacts from the nearby Kurohime-yama Kofun. The hexagonal, 1877 Old Sakai Lighthouse overlooks the harbour.

    Apologies !

The Covid 19 pandemic has pretty much decimated everyone`s ability to live life, and communicate effectively whilst doing it- staying alive being the major consideration!
In common with other bodies , sporting or otherwise, like ourselves the Club has been impacted massively and , despite having meticulous plans in place, have been forced into survival mode ..
In this respect we were happy to hear the Club’s plans at our meeting with their representatives on 4 March and whilst we have been anxious to share with you the details from same which were entirely of a positive hue, due to the current pandemic , and the furloughing of Club staff, which has probably impacted those plans more than somewhat, we have not received the Club`s OK to release the meeting report as yet, .
You will be aware that it is our usual practise to publish reports/ minutes of meetings twixt the Club and Supporters Cooperative, and we extend our apologies for the absence of same on this occasion, along with an assurance that, when circumstances allow it we will try to ascertain the current and likely future situation as far as the Club is concerned and pass what information we can onto County Supporters.

We are very pleased to announce that the appeal has realised the magnificent sum of £1700, , in recognition of the magnificent effort being made to keep us all safe in these dangerous times, by nurses, doctors and staff at Stepping Hill Hospital and in the community.

To learn more about this, the substantial donation made separately by the Supporters Cooperative, and to catch the draw for the four excellent prizes offered to donators, watch this shortish video:-
