After arriving in my home in Anglesey in 2005, I found that a part of the roof space was a void (house dates back to 1800s) and this had become a bat's roost.
They did not cause me any trouble as they had a very discreet entry to the building.
They remained there until 2016 and then disappeared. The reason was that a decorator had done some work adjacent to the entry site and it must have put the bats off. They disappeared overnight and except for one young one who must not have got the message they were never seen again.
