There is no plan there, just observations, ifs buts & maybes...
• The first thing that needs agreeing is cancelling this season...
The Government are the only body that has the power to do this; "...it is not safe, you must stop until there is a vaccine, an effective treatment or cure."
• The next thing is money, until the above happens the most powerful clubs will cling to the hope, and not confront what they actually fear; losing the Sky/BT Sport money...
The Premier League need to agree a compromise deal with Sky (in particular) agree a sensible refund £10m per Club, £200m in total and continue payments from Sky as scheduled.
Or
Give Sky an extra season at the end of the current agreement with a 50% discount and continue payments from Sky as sceduled.
This will give Premier League Clubs time to remodel (where necessary).
Double Solidarity payments to EFL Clubs. A gift, not a loan.
EFL Clubs who cannot sustain themselves with TV money in tact, Double Solidarity payment, and Prayers' contracts due to expire, expired; should be put into Administration immediately.
The PFA should ask Players (Members) to pay 3% of their salary into a hardship fund to sustain Players who are contracted but not being paid by their Clubs (ordinarily this would result in Players being entitled to a free transfer but that is of little value if other Clubs aren't hiring)
The FA were sidelined by "The Professional Game" years ago, frankly they should leave them to it now and continue to focus on International Football and "The Amateur Game"
If they don't. The FA will go bust.
• The Fans are the solution to most problems Football faces, until we return to Stadiums there is little we can do...
But we can help our Clubs with a Ticket Exchange Scheme (The Co-op, via Red Hatter, are looking at what/how we can do it at County) and a National Programme designed to offer solutions to Clubs that cuts down Admin and Refunds, and allows Fans who can help others who are inevitably going to struggle financially when we do emerge from the health crisis.
That's it. That's the order of business.
Not interested in emotions here.
There is no "integrity" left to preserve, don't want to hear that word again unless it is preceded by... Financial & structural...
