Not what I've seen. I've a neighbour who has a father in St Anne's and from what she's been told the oldies are still all going out for walks with flasks along the prom, congregating in groups, treating it like a normal day, with a "we got through the war, this won't get us attitude".
Plus the night the pubs shut and the papers were full of the idiots having their "one last night out" at least half the people in the photos were on their 50's-70's.
There's people of all ages doing it.
But of course just kick the young, they're an easy target and they don't have the powerful pensioner lobby behind them.
