We will have to start opening up society and the economy, albeit it gradually, whilst minimising the amount of risk. The country cannot continue like this for any length of time. Football can't - the Premier League would have to pay a £700m rebate to broadcasters if they don't complete the season. Even if that could be negotiated, it would cause a major mess and may even send some clubs to the wall.
If football can be played safety, without crowds then why not? What is the relevance of some people not being interested in football? I'm not interested in crochet - so what? Millions of people around the world love football and it is a multi billion dollar industry.
We have to get back to some sort of normal life. It's up to other sports to sort out what they do, but unless there is a major financial incentive for them to get back to normality, I can't see it happening.
The country will be looking at when schools go back at some point, when all non-essential shops reopen, sport is just part of this.
