I'd assume County wouldn't be paying anyone above the amount that can be claimed under the furlough scheme and by paying the final 20%, they can avoid any contract breach?
I've heard figures about Fylde paying players £1,500 a week, so players could be on as much as £80k a year . If that's the case, Haythornthwaite is probably better off just furloughing the players and if they decide to cancel the contracts, then let them.
It's not as if the Fylde players have performed and they won't have much of a market value either. They are only there for the salary.
