At the same time though these companies know full well that travel isn’t going to happen in the next few months, but rather than cancel now they are still asking for final payments to be made and the reason for this is to maintain their cash flow. Once they have the cash they are then looking to extend the normal refund payment date to further protect their cash flow. So they are expecting customers to honour the standard terms and conditions with regards to the bookings and making the payments on time but ignoring the same terms when it comes to them paying out refunds and trying to push people towards credit notes, so they are also wanting it both ways. Having said all of the above I have read several times that Jet2 have been refunding very quickly but they seem to be the exception.
