Read somewhere that the experts are favouring a three stage approach when total lockdown ends
1 Social distancing remains paramount, pubs and restaurants remain closed, no gatherings. A few more shops allowed to open but with strict restrictions on numbers. Offices reopen. No foreign travel allowed, travel in the UK advised against but not as strict as currently.
2 Social distancing remains paramount, shops to reopen but all still to have strict number control. Schools reopen, travel restrictions in UK lifted but still a ban on foreign travel. Some pubs an restaurants to open but with strict number control and social distancing enforced.
3 Back to normal although the new normal will probably still include strong advice on social distancing.
Can't remember where I read this, but we are certainly not going to be told it's all OK to go back to what you always did. This referred to these stages each maybe being in place for a couple of months each, and that is after total lockdown is lifted.
