The average death rate per week covering England & Wales is between 10,500 - 11,000 (Yes 1500 per day equating to 1 every minute). This figure has not changed during the month of March so what is the true figure of COVID19 deaths as there does NOT appear to be any increases in the weekly death rate. Figures showing the weekly death rate where the underlying cause was Respiratory Disease shows an average weekly figure over the prior few weeks to be 1500-1800 but then stops week ending 6 March with no further figures recorded. Figures showing the cause of death to be COVID19 after having no figures prior to 6 March is recorded as an average of 1500 per week.Does this really mean that, however sad it might be, the real impact of COVID19 is minimal? A further thing to add is regards to Testing for this disease where there has been some "heated" argument on the forum. The Government target of testing is 100,000 people per day by the end of April would mean this would take 68-70 weeks to complete covering a population of 68 million. Who is to say that you are tested in June, say, and are negative but in the months ahead you show signs of this horrible disease? Your comments are welcome.
