The number of deaths in the UK is expected to peak next week, during Easter, if the modelling is correct.
I'd hope to see some relaxation of the policy by the end of April or end of May at the latest, but restrictions may be tightened again, when the second wave occurs.
The government have to find a way out of this lock down one way or another - we cannot go on like this for any great length of time. A vaccine is a long way off.
I personally think they will end up having to go through a process of relaxing, tightening and relaxing the restrictions, to manage the pressure on the NHS - and make sure we have the capacity in the health system.
I have thought that allowing people to get back to work, but maintaining social distancing measures and banning mass gatherings / events (with crowds), would be a way forward? Mass testing is critical too.
