They're an enigma of a club. Their fans turn on the Manager and the players literally overnight. One minute they're saying "they're southerners but they really get it" then in the next they'll be giving them shit because stuff hasn't gone right.
They're possibly THE most entitled people in football. The staff. The fans. The senior Execs. All just expect to be handed the title at the start of the season for being a huge club. I start off wanting them to succeed then within an episode I get irked and want them to fail.
I like the Stewart Donald but you literally see him going from being this wizened and savvy businessman to just collapsing into stupidity. That Will Grigg signing was just absolutely absurd in it's desperate stupidity. The guy goes from offering "no more than £1.25m...our final offer" to offering FOUR ####ING MILLION. And Wigan did NOTHING. Just literally said nothing and let him panic and cave in.
And the Maja departure. Always happening. The only people who mustn't have thought it obvious it was going to happen were sure the owners and fans. The owners take the hump because he shows no loyalty...then next minute is shows them sacking members of their Marketing Department.....errrr
Brilliant TV I think. They really create it well. The final episode is everything football is about and should win awards.
