Flying dangerously close to the wind again. 20-odd years on from them almost going bust (they announced they were safe before we played there on a Tuesday night in April 1997) they look like they're in trouble.

Pre-tax loss of £33m, their third loss in a row. Revenues have fallen YoY and they don't own their stadium. They also owe over £80m in transfer fee instalments. And 88% of their income comes from Sky.

They've now stopped paying the people who put their young players up (£500 a week) and have stopped paying cleaners and wholesalers.

They've got a rich owner, but he's not mega rich, he's estimated to be worth about £100m-£300m.

Seems only a matter of time before they collapse, especially if they drop out of the Premier League. And a big part of me thinks 'sod them'. They've done this multiple times before. They've had ten years of ridiculous success, but now it's catching up with them.

Although, tbh, if we were offered the journey Bournemouth have had in the past decade, I'm sure most would take it. Although just one season in the Premier League would be fine for me.
