If it's total lockdown that's being talked about, then I don't think it'll be that long. Look at China and Korea, two places hardest hit initially, full lockdown slowed the spread and any further outbreaks are immediately hit with localised lockdown & contact tracing. Life's already starting to return to something resembling normalcy in those places.
They were also hit hardest with SARS in 2003, and knew how to deal with things immediately. Our case is complicated by the total government inaction, only starting beginning to take the correct response yesterday. Don't listen to me about that subject btw, listen to this critical care doctor. The past two weeks of dithering will be very costly.
